Fantasia Barrino sings a song called “Lose To Win”.  In this song, she talks about wanting someone so bad but they aren’t willing to make it last and that sometimes you have to lose to win again.  Love is a powerful tool—it can make us extremely happy or painfully sad and depressed.  When you are in a relationship and your partner is not being loving, responsive, or attentive to you, your radar should go up.

Ask questions.  Is there anything wrong that we need to talk about?  Is everything ok between us?  Have your feelings changed for me?  If the answers are vague, defensive or it initiates an argument, be very aware that something is not right.  If someone married you just for sex, you are in trouble because that is what that relationship will be based on.  If you married someone just for his or her money, it will dissolve if the money stops coming in.

Get the answers because not knowing is an unneeded stress that could be alleviated.  If you are being disrespected, ignored, or disregarded, it is time for you to weigh your pros and cons. You cannot make anyone love you so if the love is gone and they are not willing to fight for the relationship, it is time to do the assessment. If the CONS heavily outweigh the PROS, pack your bag. It is better to lose the battle than to lose the war.
